Working in our zone, entrepreneurs get numerous financial and tax privileges. Also, the City government has recently set a new goal of providing investors with a building permit within a month. 

If You decide to start a business in one of our business zones, you will be partially exempt from paying tax on name and communal contribution.

Tax on name

Those entrepreneurs who start with business activities

• in the first year of working 100%

• in the second year of working 100%

• in the third year of working 100%

• in the fourth year of working 75%

• in the fifth year of working 50% 

are partially exempt from paying tax on name.

Communal contribution

Investors that build buildings intended for entrepreneurial activity, are partially relieved from paying the communal contribution, for every newcomer with residence in Koprivnica, in amount of 10% of communal contribution, but no more than 100 m³ of space per employee, that is, 20% for every newcomer person with disabilities, but only if entrepreneur did not reduced the number of employees in last five years of business activity.

Above mentioned exemption is related to entrepreneurs who have a craft, a small or medium enterprise manufacturing or services sectors, and those who can not build in a business zone which the City equips because of their activity types. Those exemption does not apply to companies dealing with business trade, banking, financial intermediation, insurance and similar activities. If the investor within 6 months of starting business does not deliver a proof of employment of new workers to the competent administrative department, administrative department will issue a decision on its obligation of payment of communal contributions.
